Anne Grandin's art draws inspiration from Native American culture and its emphasis on the circle of life. Critics have described her works as reminiscent of Georgia O'Keeffe. Nature is a balance and all life forms are connected to one another in Harmony. "Movement and harmony are important to me. My work is spiritual and I try to raise anyone looking at my work to a higher, emotional level." Working in oil paint, a palette of earthly tones reflects nature's landscape. In 2008 Anne Grandin and Thomas Larson won the contest for the Tisbury mural project on Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts. The 48-ft long mural "Gateway to the Island" is scheduled to be unveiled in the spring of 2009. Uganda Mission TripIn June of 2009 Anne travelled to Uganda for a special trip. |
