Uganda Mural

In 2009, The Church of The Redeemer sent 18 missionaries to Seroti, Uganda. We were under the umbrella group, Pilgrim Uganda. Some of our group worked in the fields, a doctor from The Brigham and Womens's Hospital performed 21 operations in a clinic with dirt floors and I with several members of our group, worked at The Beacon of Hope College in Seroti, Uganda. I brought all the suppiles from Boston..the canvas, the paints, pencils, aprons donated by the Copley Society, tape, paper...everything. We tacked the 18 feet of canvas on the outside of a building and some 100 students worked on the mural. I just guided tham...they did the work themselves. It was a life changing experience.

The mural.. These 4 sudents, Elijah, Stella , Cathy And Sam were the leaders who helped me with the project and organized the students.

Here I am with students and teachers from the Beacon of Hope College.
